Description – This Durr Monorail E-Coat system was installed for Harley Davidson in Kansas City, MO as a Class A Paint System. We have removed the system as of the end of February 2023 and are shipping it to our Berlin, WI facility for storage. The system was set up as a dual-coat system with a dual-tunnel washer. One side was for E-Coat and the other side was for Powder Coat. The system could be installed in a similar dual coat system design, a single tunnel e-coat system, or with added equipment a Dual Tunnel E-coat system. A concept layout drawing for e-coat only is pictured.

 

9-Stage Stainless Steel Pretreatment System – All Spray

The pretreatment system design may be changed for your requirements. The stage make-up as Harley Davidson ran it is as follows:

  • (S1) Rinse or Clean, 36 Sec. @ <150℉
  • (S2) Pre-Clean, 60 Sec. @ <150℉
  • (S3) Alkaline Clean, 60 Sec. @ <150℉
  • (S4) Hot Rinse, 60 Sec. @ <150℉
  • (S5) Conditioning Rinse, 36 Sec. @ Ambient
  • (S6) Zinc Phosphate, 36 Sec. @ <130℉
  • (S7) Cold Rinse, 36 Sec. @ Ambient
  • (S8) Chrome Rinse, 36 Sec. @ Ambient
  • (S9) RO Rinse, 36 Sec. @ Ambient
